DAY #16

Hot days and I’m forced to drink my iced coffee from a can. You don’t know how lucky you are if you live someplace where you can get one in a trenta size fresh brewed. However, there’s more books for us to enjoy no matter where you are. (All you Australian, South African and other southern hemisphere people; how are you with your winter weather?)

ATHANASIOS – MAD GODS

Horror has lots of fans so I’m sure all of you would love to let this piece help you piss your pants and not sleep at night.

Mad Gods Redux (Predatory Ethics)

Genre: Paranormal horror
Words: 124655

Kostadino Paleologos searches the entire world for a codex that is rumored to catalogue the Antichrist’s past lives and finding it, throws prophecy into chaos.

He kidnaps and raises the infant Antichrist: calls him Adam and teaches what he learned in his search for the Idammah-Gan Codex. He shows Adam that the truth to which every faith aspires cannot be seen because we who comprise these faiths: are flawed. We see, hear, smell, taste and touch with inadequate tools. Even our intellect, on that which we rely to understand is limited; unable to comprehend the totality of truth. Truth is too large -or too small- to absorb; it transcends everything.

In the end the Antichrist sees that religion i.e. faith is outside reason, but whatever solace we get is lost in the translation.

CARMICHAEL, KATHY – STUCK ON YOU

Like your romantic comedies with some paranormal spices? Then you should check out Carmichael’s Stuck on You!

Genre: Paranormal Romantic Comedy
Words: 44634
Sensuality Level: Warm

Talk about magnetic attraction!

Accident prone is one thing. But electromagnetic impairment, too? Whenever Diedra Palmer’s emotions run high, light bulbs burn out, watches stop and appliances go berserk. Between the accidents and the way everything around her breaks or goes wild, she’s a total jinx.

Can two polar opposites…

Alec Sparks works hard to maintain control. After his parents’ divorce, he took on the responsibility for his clingy mother. Now he’s an attorney and looks after his clients just as thoroughly. No wonder he doesn’t want even more responsibility–and that’s what Diedra would be. She’s an accident waiting to happen, a disaster in every sense of the word. But when Alec must join forces with Diedre to help a couple in trouble, the nearly combustible magnetic attraction sends their senses soaring.

… ever become soul mates?

Diedre likes her men in neckties and starched collars, all the better for mussing. And Alec Sparks is the starchiest man she’s ever met. Trouble is, he’s made it clear she can’t have him. While Alec and Diedra work together, can they fight the heated desire flaring between them?

Before Lockman can learn how the girl found him, he’s attacked by a black-ops team of assassins. But these aren’t ordinary killers—they’re heavily armed vampires sent by his most hated enemy.

HILDENBRAND, HEATHER – DIRTY BLOOD

From Heather we will see two books in the giveaway. Dirty Blood is for you UF/PR lovers who want something else than vampires for a while. Heather is giving away an eBook and a signed copy!

Genre: Urban fantasy
Words: 101112

I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that’s not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can’t seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted – and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws. But by the time I stood over her lifeless body, she was a girl again. That’s about the time I went into shock… And that was the moment he showed up.
